It seems it might take a bit longer for Baldur's Gate: Enhance Edition to get to Android due to a recent issue that has crept up that was found when Apple rejected the game's submission onto iOS. Having been fixed, the iOS version has been resubmitted to Apple for approval, putting the release of the game into next week. However, the issue is a cross-platform one which means the Android version currently in development also needs to be fixed.
One game we are eager to get our hands on is the upcoming Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition from Beamdog. For those of you who have missed our previous coverage regarding this game, we've been following its progress since it was first announced being under development. Now the game looks to be in the final stages of development and testing and should be arriving fairly soon.
Rumble Entertainment are gearing up to spread their wings and transverse the world of mobile gaming with their first title called Nightmare Guardians. Actually, they will be entering the multi-platform publishing arena as Nightmare Guardians will be released across tablets as well as on the web for people to play. In what will most likely go down in history as one of the strangest team-ups in mobile gaming, Danny Trejo, of Sons of Anarchy fame along with god knows how many movies he's been in, and Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak will be teaming up to release a new mobile game for 'tablets' called Danny Trejo's Vengeance: Woz With A Coz. So what do we know about this game?
On Halloween we started up a nice little giveaway where two people would win one of the two Nexus 7 16GB Tegra 3 Android tablets we were giving away. The two tablets, which were donated by nVidia (say thanks!), have had no owners and are all alone over at the nVidia offices. Today we are pleased to announce that this will be changing as we have selected the two winners for our Halloween Giveaway!
The remake of the classic RPG Baldur's Gate, which we've reported on since it hit up Kickstarter for funding, will be arriving a little sooner than expected, although it is still arriving later than the initial release date. Originally slated for a September 18th, 2012 release date, the developers eventually had to delay the game's launch until November 30th, 2012. Now, Beamdog's head man Trent Oster has confirmed that the game will actually be arriving on November 28th, 2012, two days early.
Everyone is celebrating Halloween this year it seems and we have been trying to report on as much of it as we can. There have been numerous sales going on the past week which end after today, plenty of games getting Halloween themed updates and straight up Halloween appropriate game releases like last night's Zombie Driver THD. So it's our turn to join in the celebration and so we are giving away two Nexus 7 tablets, the 16GB models.
The creators of the classic first-person adventure game called Shadowgate have gone over to Kickstarter to bring a new re-imagined and revamped version out to the world and this new version will be made available on a variety of platforms including Android tablets. This inclusion of Android tablets as one of the supported platforms isn't a stretch goal either, which is something that happens with a decent amount of these Kickstarter project. Instead, it will be released onto Android tablets when the game launches.
I’ve been using the Acer Iconia Tab A510 as my primary Android device ever since I sold my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 back in May, and there was no bigger frustration than coming to know that my device was basically unsupported by Gameloft. Up until a few hours ago, only a handful (and by a handful I mean six) games were supported. I can’t recall all six, but Let’s Golf HD, Men in Black and the two latest games in the Asphalt series were among four of the supported games.
One game we are eagerly awaiting release and had recently launched beta sign-ups is for Spicy Horse Games' upcoming multiplayer action-RPG title called Akaneiro: Demon Hunter. Way back near the end of last year, we talked about a Facebook FPS game from Cmune which would eventually be making its way to Android and iOS devices as well. Their game, called UberStrike, is a rather popular FPS game where players battle it out against each other across various maps, your typical multiplayer FPS game in theme.
