It's been floating around for awhile that GameStop would be getting involved in the mobile gaming scene. In fact we've known this to be true for some time now and with the recent announcement of their iOS device trade-in program, the news today that GameStop is testing an Android-based gaming tablet shouldn't be a surprise.

Gameloft seems to be working on bring more support for their games to more Android devices. Recently they added the Droid X2 to the roster, albeit one game so far, and now it seems as the Galaxy Tab 10.1 has gotten support as well. Unlike other Android devices, this didn't take long at all.

We have had the pleasure of messing around with one of Samsung's new offerings the past few weeks, the Galaxy 10.1 tablet.

Archos had a decent run with their first few Android tablets that they released but one of the drawbacks to them was the lack of Android Market access. Well that has changed with their new line of tablets heading our way. They also stepped up their game when it comes to hardware too.

We saw these tablets previewed back during CTIA 2011 by Samsung and now the wait is almost over if you've been wanting one since then. Samsung is getting ready to release their 10.1 dual-core Android tablet onto the market for public consumption starting June 8th in New York City.

Everyone has probably heard by now that Amazon has some goodies in the works when it comes to Android devices. Well some news regarding their tablets that are being developed has come out that these devices, codenamed Coyote and Hollywood, will be multi-core Android tablets, slated for release near the end of this year.

Asus already has a couple of hits under their belts in the short time they have been in the tablet game and it looks like they are planning to ride that wave with some high-end hardware for their next batch of tablets. With one being dual-core and another sporting a Qualcomm chip coming out in the next month or two.

What an interesting 24hours it has been regarding Sony and the Playstation Network. Sony held a press conference early this morning to announce officially their two upcoming Android tablets, codenamed the S1 and S2. Both will be Playstation certified. This afternoon, Sony finally came clean about what happened to the PSN as well.

You know those great gaming laptops with all the nice glowy colors and generally sporting a slightly higher price than other laptops? The Alienware laptops are what I'm referring to. Well it seems that Alienware could be working on a gaming tablet as well. If they haven't started yet, they are giving it some serious consideration.

Best Buy seems to be getting into the Android tablet scene in a rather big way. They already have a decent selection of tablets available and the pre-order for the Acer Iconia dual-core tablet just went up today. Now word is that the Toshiba dual-core Android tablet will also be sold at Best Buy making that the second Tegra tablet for them.
