While we don't talk about hardware here all the time, we do get to talk about it when it pertains to Android gaming in some fashion. With Nvidia's Tegra 4 chipset on the horizon and soon to be invading our new Android devices, getting a peek at any device that will contain the new Tegra 4 chipset is always nice. Toshiba has had their upcoming Tegra 4 Android tablet leaked out along with a glimpse at Android 4.2.1.
Amazon is getting ready to spread their wings a little bit more than normal and have announced that they will be offering up their 8.9" Kindle Fire HD through AT&T later this week. The 8.9" Kindle Fire HD will actually be at a somewhat reasonable price as well. Of course that is with you signing a 2-year contract of course.
One of the two gaming centric Android tablets has officially gone on sale now for $179. The Archos Gamepad is an Android tablet with a focus on gaming with physical gaming controls available on either side of the 7" tablet which runs Android 4.1, otherwise known as Jelly Bean.

The world of tech blogs seems to be rather excited today as a few rumors and announcements have happened with one of the main ones coming from Sony who officially announced (or confirmed depending on how you look at it) their upcoming quad-core, and ultra thing, Xperia Tablet Z. While we still get to deal with one letter names, at least now we can tack on the Xperia brand name on there as well.
The Wikipad Android gaming tablet that was supposed to be released this week has been delayed until further notice. For those of you who had been planning to go to your local GameStop and pick one of them up, you are going to have to wait a bit longer. The new came through a press release which details why the delay is happening.
Archos announced back near the end of August that they had been developing a gaming centric Android tablet which would inadvertently be in direct competition with Wikipad's upcoming gaming tablet offering. The Archos GamePad has now gotten a hands-on fondling by the folks at ARMdevices.net, giving us a pretty good view of the upcoming 7" gaming themed tablet.
For those of you out there who are fans of HTC and were hoping that there would be future tablets coming to the market here in the U.S. for you to buy, HTC has announced some bad news for you. According to the online communications manager for HTC, Jeff Gordon, the company will be pulling out of the tablet market in the U.S. which means no more HTC tablets here.
