The recently leaked Xperia Tablet that will be coming from Sony has been officially announced during Sony's press event as IFA 2012 starts up today. The 9.4" Tegra 3 quad-core tablet was leaked out back in July of this year and looked pretty promising back then. Now we have a full rundown of the specs it will be coming with.
The Sony Xperia S Tablet will obviously be Playstation Certified but beyond that, the tablet will come with a variety of applications that will allow the tablet to run a lot of those home entertainment features you have like your TV. Hardware-wise, this tablet is pretty beefy right out of the box:
- Tegra 3 quad-core processor
- 9.4" screen running at 1280x800 resolution
- Android 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich)
- 16/32/64 GB storage
- Multi Port, SD Card, Microphone, Headphone Out, Stereo Speaker
- 6000 mAh Battery
- 1.0 MP front camera teamed up with an 8.0MP rear camera
No word on what the RAM will be but it will most likely be at least 1GB of RAM. For those of you interested in snapping up one of these, you won't have to wait long to do that since Sony is planning to release the Xperia S Tablet this September. Unfortunately no pricing has been announced just yet.
