Huawei has unveiled two new Android phones today called the Ascend P1 and Ascend P1 S, one of which is labeled as the world's thinnest smartphone, at least for today. Considering this is CES we are sure there will be others touting their new devices under the same label of being the thinnest.
The announcement that R-Type is coming to Android Sept. 12th should have your retro gaming hunger in need of a fix right now, we feel it's our job to just make it worse. With that said, there is another retro-style shooter coming our way called Disciples of the Space Goddess.

Reality Pump is a development studio that has made some pretty big PC games in the past and now have decided to jump into the mobile gaming arena. Their first offering will be a match-3 Bejeweled style game but it will come with some pretty interesting features no other ones have.
There are only a few entertaining instances so far where a developer has actually called their game one of the worse games made. One was that Lame Castle game that got rather popular even though the developers said it sucked. There is also Paper Wars which the developers call "the worst game ever made".
Succubus Interactive has been around the gaming scene for around 10 years but chances are you've probably never heard of them. This is because they generally make serious or educational games for corporations or work on projects in conjunction with other game studios. You're about to get excited about them though now.
Announced at the Sony Ericsson booth during GamesCom 2011 was that PopCap's very popular game called Plants vs Zombies will be coming to the Xperia Play. This means that anyone who owns an Xperia Play will soon be able to use the controls to play Plants vs Zombies.
So far with every conference that has happened since the Xperia Play got released has seem Sony Ericsson, along the their Xperia Play, at those conferences showcasing upcoming titles that will be destined for the Xperia Play in the future. GamesCom 2011 is no exception to that rule.
Remember last week we told you about a dance-off that would be happening today at GamesCom between the Android Robot and the PopCap zombie? Well the dance-off happened and while normally something like this would fit right into our 'Awesomeness' series, it ended up fitting into the 'Humor' series instead.
GamesCon 2011 is just around the corner and a world first event is set to take place there. While this should be one of the biggest GamesCon events to date, the event that will be taking place there on Wednesday August 13th at 10:30am could change history. Set your calendars and be ready.
