The Mario inspired platformer called The Other Brothers has been a game in the works for some time now, being slated for release onto iOS this week while the Android version is supposed to arrive at some point in the near future. While the game is inspired by the plumber brothers of the Nintendo generation the art is vastly different, featuring a more retro pixel art style to it.
Well the four-man development team behind The Other Brothers has announced that the game will also be making its way to the Android-powered console when it arrives for retail sale. Whether this means it will be available on June 4th, which is when the console is slated for retail sale, or shortly afterwards remains to be seen.
For those of you unfamiliar with this game, The Other Brothers follows a similar storyline to that of Mario Bros, just with a bit more of a modern setting then one where you're jumping on turtles and giant mushroom platforms. The main goal is to help a damsel in distress but unlike Mario Bros., this game has plenty of humor added into the mix as well.
So for those of you who are getting an OUYA unit, you have a true classic platformer style of game to look forward to playing. As for the version for Android devices, we still don't have an exact release date for it just yet.
