K'umpa Puzzle Game

Kumpa, developed by Greenrobot, is a unique puzzle game where you use the accelerometer and tilt controls to move your ball around each stage. You have a certain amount of time to complete the requirements for whatever stage you are on before proceeding to the next. If time runs out you will have to start over again. There are all sorts of obstacles in the way of your success.

Kumpa, or K'umpa as it is properly spelled, is a great bland of strategy and puzzle mixed into one game. While keeping you glued to your screen as you move your ball around you'll have to watch out for tiles that will do certain effects. There are bumper tiles (think pinball bumpers), pits, tiles that only go one way and more.

Your goal is to light up all the tiles that have faint patterns on them. Some of those even have different effects such as the tiles with wavy lines which you can only go over once, otherwise you'll turn the tile back off and have to light it up again. The controls are easy to get used to and are not overly sensitive. All you have to do is tilt your phone in the direction you want to go in. Don't forget you have a time limit as well!

Features:

  • Quest-style gameplay
  • Tilt controls
  • Great graphics and physics
  • More maps available for download
  • Original sounds
  • Apps2SD support
  • 17 levels with the included map

Kumpa gets increasingly difficult as you progress through the map and into the later stages really making you think quickly while you try to accomplish your goals within the given amount of time. You'll be able to play 17 levels which is the first map that comes with the game. This is one of those games you can sit down and play for a couple of hours trying to beat it or just play on and off at your convenience as it saves your game progress.

The full version of Kumpa is available right now on the Android market for free which includes the first map (17 levels). You can purchase another map that is already available as well for around $2.00USD and there is a link right inside the game to take you right to the expansion maps. Definitely a great addition to any collection for all you puzzle lovers out there.
