Founders of Mobicartel, Matthew Patience and Greg Carron, have always been deep in the Android community in many ways from helping fellow Android lovers out with problems regarding app development (such as myself) to releasing some of their own great applications like Twitoc. Now they want to teach you!
Based out of the Yorkville Media Center in Toronto, Ontario, Coding Green Robots will be a series of lessons to teach anyone wanting to learn how to program apps for Android. This does including programming games for Android as well. These classes will be hosted bi-weekly from the Yorkville Media Center but if you are not fortunate enough to be located in Toronto have no fear, all classes will be broadcast live on UStream as they are happening as well.
You'll be able to join in no matter where you are located in the world by watching on UStream and joining in the conversation. Don't worry if you can't make it to a classes either as all shows will be recorded and available for viewing at any time. So if you are looking to start learning Android programming, whether it is for games or applications, start marking off every other Tuesday each month on your calendars starting this upcoming Tuesday, Feb. 22nd from 7:30-9:30pm EST.
For more information you can check out the press release below and/or head over to the official Coding Green Robots website. Just another example of why the Android community is so great.
