It seems as though more news regarding the Nexus brand is starting to come out today. Yesterday we saw the Galaxy Nexus arrive on the Google Play store in an unlocked HSPA+ version for $399. While we wait for the inevitable release of Google's tablet, news about the next Nexus phone is starting to come out.
According to Digitimes, Google has already selected who will be making the 4th generation of Nexus phone and honestly it is no surprise that they have apparently picked Samsung to build it.
”Since Samsung has become the top vendor of Android smartphones, Google will continue to have Samsung develop its next-generation Nexus models, leveraging Samsung’s innovation ability with regard to the Android platform, and its ability to control the supply of key components.”
While Samsung is a natural choice for the next Nexus phone, it does make one wonder why other device manufacturers are not really getting a shot at it anymore. Both HTC and LG make solid devices as well and yes, Motorola could make one too. Either way, the fact that Samsung is making the next Nexus phone will make a lot of people happy. So the question is, what specs do you think will be in this next Nexus phone?
